Thanksgiving Break

This Thanksgiving break was exactly what I needed to recharge and make some great memories. Going home felt so comforting, and one of the first things I did was head to my favorite coffee shop. There’s just something about that place that puts me in a productive mood. I could catch up on some work while enjoying a good drink, which made being productive feel a little less like a chore.

As Thanksgiving Day approached, I got busy in the kitchen helping with all the prep. Cooking is one of those things that always brings people together, and it was fun being part of the action. I made pumpkin pies, an absolute must for our Thanksgiving table. Our turkey was enormous at 26 pounds, and it was so good. When the day came, my family and I gathered for a big feast.

The next day was just as eventful. Black Friday shopping was wild, but I kind of love the hustle of it all. After snagging some deals, I got to experience a second Thanksgiving with my boyfriend and his family. Sharing the holiday with them was so nice and it was fun catching up with them. It was cool to see their traditions and enjoy another meal filled with great food and company. Honestly, having two Thanksgiving meals in one week was such a treat.

Saturday brought a mix of emotions. Watching Ohio State lose to Michigan was tough. I had been rooting so hard for a win, and it stung to see them fall short. Luckily, my evening plans made up for it. I went to see Wicked, and it was incredible. The music, the story and the performances were all next level. Ariana Grande’s role was everything I hoped it would be. Hearing her singing was surreal and left me completely blown away.

Looking back, this break gave me everything I needed. It was a mix of being productive, spending time with family and creating unforgettable memories. From working in my favorite coffee shop to indulging in two Thanksgiving feasts and ending the week with Wicked, it’s a break I'm not going to want to leave.

  1. It sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving break! I can relate to attending multiple parties for the holiday and enjoying all the delicious meals. I didn’t get to go Black Friday shopping this year, but I made sure to finish all my shopping on Cyber Monday. Fortunately, I’m a Michigan fan, and I was thrilled with the result of the game against OSU. I was actually on campus during the game, and the atmosphere was crazy!
